El.En. is the heart and soul of the Group, where all the laser sources are developed for the applicative systems produced by the various companies forming part of the Group. Playing a central role is its internal Research and Development centre which is dedicated to the design and production of the innovative laser systems. It is within the parent company El.En. that the research projects are implemented in collaboration with Italian and European research institutes. In the cultural heritage sector El.En. produces laser beam delivery optics for cleaning stone, metals and architectural surfaces as well as for welding precious items of an artistic and archaeological interest.

A 5000 W laser source has been designed and created in the industrial field for cutting and welding metals, and markers have been produced with a working range of 160 cm x 160 cm for decorating fabrics and leather materials.
Innovative, non-destructive laser methods are being developed for diagnostic for preservation in the cultural heritage sector.
Blade laser sources
The "Blade" sources, which in technical jargon are referred to as " semisealed ", are equipped with re-circulating catalysers that take care of recombining CO and O2 inside the “half-active” gas in order to restore the necessary quantity of CO2.
This allows for associating the high levels typical of electrical yield and the quality of the slow-flow laser beam with the practicality of managing a "semisealed source".

The 800 W and 3 kW Compact series consist of a high-speed axial flow in which the mixture is moved by a turbine inside the various discharge sections, each of which has its own power supply.
A dual cooling facility is available: one has a reduced flow for equalising the temperature of the structure of the cavity, and the other offers a greater flow for removing the heat from the gaseous mixture.
While maintaining the sound criteria forming the basis of the sources produced by El.En, namely great constructive simplicity combined with a high level of quality and reliability, we are working to increase the outlet power of our products in both the field of semisealed elements and that of fast flows.
